The Map Library provides access to a large volume of information such as 94 000 maps and collection of 4600 atlases and books. Thematic and topographic coverage of every country and every major city in the world is available, with the emphasis on southern Ontario and the Toronto-centred region.

Online Tutorials and Research Guides

  • The Academic Integrity Tutorial
    Designed to help students learn about issues of academic integrity. It explores plagiarism and related matters with case examples and positive strategies one can use to improve one's academic efforts and avoid committing an academic offence as outline in the Senate Policy on Academic Honesty.
  • The Library Research Roadmap
    A self-paced tutorial designed to lead students through the basic steps of the bibliographic research process in logical order, in preparation for writing an essay in the social sciences or humanities.
  • Pre-Writing Strategies
    Presents ideas and techniques for getting started on essay-writing assignments, including strategies for understanding one's assignment, exploring one's ideas about a topic, gathering ideas from readings, organizing rough notes, and developing a thesis.
  • Learning Skills Program
    Skills program offered by the Counselling and Development Centre
